TOSHIE’S IS NEARLY THERE
If you live in or around Firhill (or you keep up with our posts), you may be aware that Garscube Road are in for an exciting treat- Toshie’s.
846 Garscube Road has been renovated in recent years into a perfect community café space, which the Courtyard Pantry have taken on with hopes to open early Autumn 2022.
‘Toshie’s’ is a reference to Charles Rennie Mackintosh, who designed the nearby Queens Cross Church.
The Courtyard Pantry are going to actively address barriers to employment faced by those in the community, through providing jobs and support for local people. Their efforts in the local neighbourhood are important to us at Queens Cross, and we are truly grateful that they are extending the amazing work they already do to this space.
We are certain that Toshie’s will not only be somewhere we can go for a delicious lunch, but a safe and welcoming environment where we can go for a chat.
Here is a first look at the exterior, we can only imagine how great inside will look! Their fabulous signwriting was done by the very talented Rachel E Millar.
