GLASGOW TOOL LIBRARY
The Glasgow Tool Library is a volunteer-led charity that works like a regular library, but instead of books, people can access tools and equipment for their homes, gardens and hobbies. This gives people access to expensive equipment, such as drills, camping equipment, games and events equipment, at a fraction of the cost.
They also deliver events and volunteering opportunities that support people to learn a range of practical skills and meet new people, improving their confidence, employability and strengthening relationships in the community.
The main aim of the organisation is to transition Glasgow towards a circular post-consumerist society, which builds community empowerment and resilience.
